Welcome to

At this time we are no longer taking on large research projects.  We are limiting projects to locating records in the following SE Michigan counties:  Wayne, Washtenaw, Oakland, Livingston, Macomb & Monroe.

I received a very nice email from a school history teacher who is using this website as one of her teaching references for her student's genealogy projects they are presently working on.  One of her students found an excellent article on family history and genealogy.   I suggest that you look at it and the links that the article includes.  Thank you very much, Julie Loomis, for sending this to me.

If you transcribe the census from 1790 to 1940 use our free templates.  These templates are available for free downloading on the "Download US census forms" page.  We have also added the instructions to the US census enumerators form 1850 to 1930.  We will be developing more forms and would appreciate any suggestions that you have regarding forms or other information that will be helpful to you.
